  • REFUEL RETREAT

REFUEL RETREAT is a mini conference for emerging students, leaders and pastors. The retreat will be held at the Diamond Arrow Campground in Nevada City. The cost is 145.00 per person which includes a two night stay at the Mountain View Lodge with breakfast lunch and dinner included during your stay. Of course the fee covers the cost for our guest speakers as well. Our conference speakers are the best in their field and are some of the most sought after communicators in the country. To book your spot send an email with your contact information to Matt Barger at interns@marshillfamily.com. If you are pursuing leadership and the call to be a difference maker the REFUEL RETREAT is sure to be a fuel stop as you journey in obedience.

  • Happy New Year!

I know New Year's has passed but It's still January so HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's been a great holiday season! Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. We hosted all three events this year. It was one of the most memorable for us. Tons of work but tons of fun. God has been doing great things within our family and ministry. I have not really had a chance to blog my heart over the past 3 months but I've journal'd A LOT. God has opened the eyes of my heart wider than ever and I'm seeing so much in his word that has been hidden by time. I will make as many of my journal entries public as my schedule permits. Press through this year. It's sure to be a new one!

  • FALL RECAP/Current Happenings

Haven't posted since August....geez louis. Time fly's when your having fun. The Bueno family has been beyond good we have been muy good! So much has happened over the past 3 months. I'll try and give you a short summary.

SEPTEMBER: Gaby started HIGH SCHOOL!  She's a bonified freshman!Gaby is an absolute STAR! Still can't believe Lisa and I have a daughter in high school! Wowsers..I guess that means we're getting old...I still feel 20. Lisa celebrated her 34th birthday. SHE IS SUCH A GREAT WOMAN! I always  thank God for bringing her into my life:). Faith celebrated her 3rd birthday in September as well. Gosh my little Faith...she's SO PRECIOUS! Interns Fall quarter launched. Had a phenomenal crop of interns come in. Thank God for  Josh Billeci's help in assisting me. Directing six interns is no joke! Wish I had a film crew to document this past Fall's internship quarter so you could see all that God had done.  Time of my life!

OCTOBER: Believe it or not but we were still swimming in our pool well into October. Gotta love Cali! This Halloween Faith dressed up as Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. Gaby dressed up as a background dancer from a 80's pop group...I think thats what she was...still trying to figure out her costume.

NOVEMBER: ahh November... what a month! Lisa and I celebrated 15 years of marriage! We spent some time in the Bay on a nice getaway. Lisa and I hosted Thanksgiving this year. Had some Fam and Friends over. Turkey, Ham and Meatballs! Lisa was the Master Chef...mad skills! Highlight of the evening was Lisa's nephew jumping in the pool for a Thanksgiving swim. Our family tradition every Thanksgiving is the prep for Black Friday. We save tons of money by doing our Christmas shopping this way. We were up at 4:00am Friday after Turkey day and in line by 4:45 at Target in Elk Grove. There was already a good 200 people in line. Got some great deals and saved allot of money.

We're looking forward to December. We love Christmas! Decorations are up minus the tree. We'll keep you posted:)

About Me

  • We are the Bueno family! We love to eat out at great restaurants, and enjoy popcorn and movies. The kids keep our home filled with excitement, entertainment, love, laughter, purpose, changes and occasional challenges. Our Family was established in 1993. It has been an incredible journey which we feel is just beginning. Our family motto is "Get Up And Live". It's something we say to each other when the lazy bug bites. Lisa works for Mercy Hospital as a Surgical Assistant, and I (Josh) work for Mars Hill Church as the Internship Director and P.A. to Pastor Scott Hagan. Lisa and I are doing what we both went to school for (I'm still finishing up my degree). We absolutely love our jobs, our kids, each other, and above all Jesus.
